Floral Crown DIY

1. Floral Cloth Wire. 2. Floral Tape. 3. Real or silk flowers.
Bend the floral cloth wire around the crown of your head to get a desired curve. Yes, I realize that does sound a bit strange....

Cut off a little stem from the branch of flowers and secure it with floral tape by TIGHTLY wrapping it around the stem. It is super important to wrap the stem tightly because it will unravel if done otherwise:(. P.S your fingertips will get super waxy, so just keep going till you are done. Continue doing this for every flower stem until you reach the end of your wire.
And there you have it! Your finished project! Hope you guys enjoyed this DIY, maybe I will try and do some other DIY's later:).

A Color Story: Neon Yellow

A Color Story: Neon Yellow

A Color Story: Neon Yellow by leahla featuring a leather shoulder bag

Neon Yellow. A very bright and bold color. To wear such a radiant color, I would suggest wearing it in little bursts to make your outfit more fun and surprising (in a good way). Plus, it is also a major confident booster, making you stand out wherever you are! Neon yellow also helps brighten up your skin tone. Try this color out for a bit and see how you like it. I know I will!

Anything Can Happen

 Dress:Target (old) | Scarf: Nordstrom B.P. | Belt:I forgot...(old) | Shoes: Converse

Two posts in two days, Woohoo! Im on a roll! I like this look a lot, it is casual and comfy and has a dash of color.
The reason I named this post "Anything Can Happen" is due to the song by Elle Goulding. I know, I am so original. Although it may sound cheesy, what she is singing about happens to be very true. In a matter of minutes, or even seconds, everything can change. It can go from good to bad, happy to blissful, etc. Anything you want and yearn for can be yours if you work towards your goal. Okay, thats all with my philosophical bit.
Hope you enjoyed!

They Say I'm A Dreamer

Shirt: Handmade by me : Pants: Hollister (old) | Shoes: Keds (old)

Pink Bracelet:Target | Ring: Claire's (old) | Watch: Michael Kors | Spike Bracelet: Nordstrom

Hi everyone! Hope your weekend is going well so far! As of now, I am officially on Spring Break (YAY!) but I still have loads of homework to do:(.
I would just like to talk about the shirt I made. In my fashion class, my teacher had us do screen printing. A process where you draw your own design and burnt it on to a silk screen. It was very time consuming due to the fact that we only had 45 minute sessions to do the whole process.
Although it was time consuming it was a very interesting and cool new thing I learned.
Hopefully I will have time to publish more posts now that I am free (kinda)
Thats all for today!

All The Little Things

Blouse:Calvin Klein (old) | Jeans: Hollister | Shoes: Vince Camuto (old)

Necklace: Loft (old) | Lipstick: Topshop Rio Rio | Bracelets (right top to left bottom): Macy's, Juicy Couture, Michael Kors, Nordstrom

Happy Valentines Day everyone!! I hope it was a good one. My day was very long and consisted of 3-4 hours straight of homework. Yay...but I got a lot of cute little goodies from people. In relationships its all about the little things that count, the smiles, the laughs, etc. On this blouse there are also a lot of little details that make the garment more special, the buckles, the buttons, etc.
Just last night I went to my schools basketball game for CIF Championship for the girls and they were playing against a deaf team. I thought it was so amazing that even though they don't have one of the five senses, they still were able to overcome it and were able to use all their other senses to play so well (even though they were not able to hear the buzzer). The team was very inspirational and have a lot of emotion and compassion when they talked even though they were using sign language. I don't really know why I just wrote that, but I just felt like sharing :) It was a very good game.
Anyway, back on the blouse, I really, really love it. All of its details make it so much more interesting and unique. It is a basic with a twist and can be paired with so many things to make a cute outfit.
I have to go now.
Bye and Happy Valentines Day!

A Color Story: Soft Pinks

A Color Story: Soft Pinks

A Color Story: Soft Pinks by leahla featuring a pink diamond ring

Because Valentine's Day is so close, I can almost smell the date I wont have. :P (I think that is how the joke goes) In honor of the day of love, I decided to go with a romantic soft pink opposed to a bold red (partially because I used it last moth). This shade is super cute and girly and reminds me of Taylor Swift for some reason. This pink is also, in my opinion, welcoming spring ( I know... it sounds weird). Pastel is also going to be really big for spring and this blush tone is also a nice alternative to the bright and crazy pattens that have been going on this past season. That is all I have for tonight! I hope you have an eventful Valentine's Day, I have a test that day a date with some unfinished homework. I know...I still am making bad jokes.
Have a good weekend!

Take Me To Never Land

Blouse: Loft | Skirt: Free Hug | Shoes: Nine West (old)
Collar Necklace: Nordstrom B.P. | Spike Bracelet: Nordstrom | Chain Bracelet: Juicy Couture | Watch: Michael Kors

"Take me to Never Land" Wendy once said to Peter Pan...I think. This ensemble was supposed to be posted last week during Super Bowl time, but I was buried under two HUGE essays that I had to write, and yet again, this weekend I have to finish two more essays. Yippi-ki-yay! I really am in love with this shirt from Loft, both the color and the stripes. I paired the blouse with these leopard heels to mix different patterns together and I think it worked out very well. The black skirt helped keep the look solid and not so crazy, and as usual, I have on my lovely golden accessories.
Have a good weekend!
