Pink Poppies

Shirt: Hollister | Sunglasses: Loft | Shorts: Loft | Sandals: Steve Madden | Necklace: Tiffany's

Yes, I realize these are not pink poppies...they just matched with my outfit(:

Solids and prints, check! Florals and pinks, check! Girly and chic, check! Recently I have been love, love, loving pinks and florals and since the whether is hot here in the Dominican, I decided to keep my outfit short and sweet but NOT short of bright pinks. I have also began starting to mix prints and solids together and I simply adore it. Whenever you mix solids and prints together you can never go wrong...unless you choose two hideous color combinations of course.

Yesterday when my family and I arrived here we were told it was father's day. So happy father's day #2 to all dad's. Also upon our arrival, everyone spoke spanish to us and frankly I did not understand a word anyone said:'(. So my goal by the end of the trip it to learn some spanish! Woo, I should have taken a spanish class at school. O yea! The stop signs on the streets say, "Pare" on it instead of stop so that was really cool, I guess that was my new word of the day that I learned.

I have decided to try out something I am...or was bad at a while ago: layering. I think I did it very well with this outfit. What do you think? How did I learn how to layer you ask, well I was looking at this beautiful blog that immediately captivated me called http://viewsofnow.com/ and I went scrolling all the way down to last Fall and saw how the girl, Isabella, layered shorter shits under long sleeve shirts. I loved how she made all her pieces transition so well into all four seasons, so now I am on the prowl (that sounds cheesy) for amazing transitional pieces and I highly recommend you do the same too because then you get more bang for your buck (again, it sounds cheesy).

Today I am going to the lovely Dominican Republic with mi familia and am going to meet up with one of my best friends and her whole family there as well. I am soo excited even though I am waiting at the airport right now. Ill keep you all posted on what I will be wearing(:

California Cool

Shirt: Hollister. Belt: Hollister. Jeans: Hollister. Shoes: Steve Madden
I may not be the typical Tumblr girl who wears the high waisted shorts, crop tops and bustiers (which happens to be very very cute)... especially during summer time BUT the store that best represents summer time, for me at least, is Hollister. From your basic white, black, and grey colors to an assortment of bright, crazy, rainbow colors, you can literally taste the rainbow! Well not really but still.  I definitely recommend going in to one of their store and checking out what I am talking about because their collection for this season is so much fun!... and soo cute and are in my opinion, the epitome of summer time. Woo! Have a great summer! :D

Floppy Hats

The sun is up and it is hot hot hot! We always need to stay protected from the sun-especially during summer time- and it's best to do just that in a cute and stylish way, and what better way to do that than with floppy hats!?! Floppy hats give you a lot of coverage, both front and back... and side to side while giving you and your outfit a fun cutesy look.
