Cozy

Sweater: Brandy Meliville | Crop top: Brandy Meliville | Skirt: Brandy Meliville | Sandals: Aerosoles

This outfit is composed entirely of Brandy Meliville pieces. The way they created their pieces allowes each one to go with every other item in the store, wich makes it especially easy to make an outfit. My friend dragged me into the store for "technically" the first time (when I went their for my actual first time, I got weird looks). She is completely in love with literally every single thing there so she made me try a lot of pieces on, and not to her surprise, I now like a lot of their clothing. The only issue I have is that it is very generic, everyone has each piece and nowadays it seems like wherever you go there is at least one person in Brandy. To me it seems as though the brand is stripping away everyones personal style to allow them to fit in with the norm, and this bothers me a bit. I think that it is horrible for someone to hide their true selves/personality in something that is not themselves or to mold themselves into something else to fit in with the whole group.
On another note, today I went and saw Despicable Me 2. It is actually the best movie ever! I adore it and the minions are so cute!! If you haven't already seen it, I totally reccomend it, you wont regret it!
Also, I have decided on an actual, consistent blogging schedule so no one has to come to my site and see something old. From now on I promise to blog every Wednesday and Saturday, if I happen to miss one of the days, check back the next day and a post will most likely be up!
Thats all for now, have a good week!

The Style Diaries: Sophie

Tank: Brandy Melville | Shorts: Brandy Melville | Shoes: Converse
Necklace: Loft (old) | Ring: Nordstrom (old)

Hi guys! I am trying out this new thing where I style some of my friends. Based on their personality and style, I use items from their own closets to help represent themselves to the world. I got this idea from my friend Sarah. She said her sister wanted to be photographed with a certain outfit, but then I thought to myself: Why don't I style the girls based on their personality. And so the idea of The Style Diaries was born!
This is my friend Sophie. She is a free spirited, fun loving girl who likes to wear items that are comfortable, easy, and on trend. Sophie has a keen eye for detail and likes to keep things interesting, fun, and fresh. Therefore this top from Brandy Melville (being a trendy new store) is perfect for her. With black being the staple color, the scallop detailing and the cutouts on the bottom keep the simple tank from looking boring. A staple in all girls closets are Converse. A very simple, laid back pair of sneakers help bring out Sophie's personality.

Have a nice week!

Blush

Tank: Fringe (old) | Shorts: Nordstrom B.P (old) | Boots: Steve Madden
Necklace: Nordstrom B.P (old) | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Nordstrom (old)

Happy Monday everyone!! Yesterday my friend and I went to a Zumba class, totally recommend it! The first dance was easy because I was not out of breath. When we finished the second dance, my heart started pumping. By the third dance, it started getting very difficult because I was out of breath. Persevering through all the short dances was really fun and by the end we felt amazing. Afterwards we went and saw The Bling Ring.  The concept of the movie was very interesting. Based on true events, it is about this group of teenagers who go to celebrities houses when they are away and take their some of their material possessions. Eventually they get caught and have to pay the price. Emma Watson was in it with an American accent so that was very interesting to see. The way the kids talked seemed like they were trying to hard and were being fake, so that did not appeal to me. All in all the movie did not get my personal five starts but about a three. If you end up watching it, I would love to know about what you thought about the movie. Thats all for now! Have a good weekend!

A Color Story: Citrus

A Color Story: Citrus

A Color Story: Citrus by leahla featuring zara flats

A fresh new hue that I love? Citrus! Mixing the different fruity shades together create a very bright and yummy palette to wear. Citrus hues brighten up your skin tone as well as make you feel super happy (because of the bright colors). To keep the outfits from getting boring, mixing the shades together will create stand out style and will feel super spring-y. With these Spring reminiscent ensembles, you will literally feel the flowers bloom and not the hot sun beating down on your skin (cheesy much?). Thats all for now! Have a nice weekend!

Romantic

Tank: Old Navy (old) | Skirt: Forever 21 (old) | Sandals: Aerosols
Hat: My moms | Necklace: Gift

I wore this outfit last weekend when I was out with my family at a museum, one of my least favorite places. Although, when I saw that they had a garden type museum outside all the works of art, I was instantly intrigued. All the different flowers and trees placed in precise measurements to look either chaotic or super organized intrigued me. There were so many different colors and smells to see and everything looked like paradise, so I couldn't help but make it into a blog post, plus I was wearing a good outfit to match they scenery (score!). The outfit kind of reminds me of an Italian style with parisian stripes, and the pop of pink and ruffles adds some interest. Well, thats all for now!

These are some items I am wishing for right now. Some of them are super expensive, so I am going to find a cheaper pair at other places, while others, like the one piece swimsuit is an idea of what I am looking for. Another thing about the items on my wish list is that they are all on trend right now, so I am gonna give myself some time to see if I really want some of these pieces before I purchase them. Maybe it is just a phase, but you know what they say: Fashion (aka trends) fades, style is eternal. So I will just wait it out.
Have a nice week!

Simple

Shirt: Pink by VS (old) | Denim: Express (old) | Heels: Nine West (old)
Necklace: Gift | SWEET bracelet: BCBG Generation | Chain bracelet: Juicy Couture

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July. Because my family ended up making plans super late, the most patriotic I got was doing my AP US History homework, woohoo! It was a very relaxed day.

I decided to keep this outfit  simple because I wanted to have the necklace stand out. Although the necklace is also very simple, I wanted to showcase it. I kept the rest of the jewelry minimal but decided to have some fun by adding these cheetah print heels.
Thats all for now!
